Today I found a note in the mail. Some of the posters I ordered are waiting for me at the customs office in Lübeck, and would I please come get them, and oh, bring along something to verify the contents of the package, and its value ...
So I printed out a few e-Mails from eBay and PayPal, and took them along.
I also took a map along, since I've never been there before.
Anyway, customs office is about 7km from my place, took about 20ish minutes to bike there, another 10ish minutes dealing with customs and paying there, another 20 back to my place. Back here I unpacked the posters and for the first time saw them. Damn, they're huge. Both of them are about 1m x 1.5m o_O
Not quite sure yet where I'll hang them up though ...
Anyway, this morning I caught the DHL guy delivering stuff again, so I asked him about how to file a complaint regarding my broken poster. He told me to go to the post office to do it there, so after I got back from the customs office I took the package, along with a few e-Mails proving the value of the poster, and biked there (It's pretty close to my place, about 2km I think). I didn't take the poster along because it's still under a stack of heavy books, but I did have my cam with a picture of it.
So that was that, doing the complaint was easy enough, and DHL will get in contact with me about it, and if they don't, the post office employee advised me to just get back to them and complain some more.
So we'll see about that ...
