*sigh*
I'm sure you've all noticed my online absence. You're all really worried right? d;
Right ... So apparently traveDSL, my (hopefully) future internet provider, has forwarded the cancellation notice thingy that I'd given them, to the Telekom, my current DSL connection provider. They've added a date to this (23.02.2004), on that day Telekom was supposed to disconnect my DSL. Now, someone fucked up and decided to disconnect me as soon as the notice came in, instead of waiting till the 23rd.
I called Telekom's service line about my lack of DSL connecty-ness, this is how I found out about this. The woman on the phone had to ask someone from "Kundenvertrieb" about what to do now, and stuff. So, tomorrow they're sending out a technician to hook me back up, and until then, bad luck for me o_O
At this point it dawned on me where the "Vertrieb" bit originates ... Vertrieb, vertreiben? Kunden vertreiben? *shurgs* d;
Err, anyway, other than me finding myself internetless when I got home today, nothing too spectacular has happened. Cleaned a few cars, refilled a Golf 5, chatted with Jenny. I think she mentioned something about being watched all the time ... Which doesn't really surprise me all that much ... d;
hmmm ... *grins*
Anyway, I'll watch CSI later, then probably take a shower, and go to bed early'ish.
And hope my internet is back tomorrow ...

I've downloaded the Farcry Demo, after
david had mentioned it in a post. Took quite a while, and now the installer crashes with an error message "invalid drive C:\". When I tried it for the first time it complained about a missing drive Z:\, but I could fix that by hooking up my backup drive, which happens to be Z:\. But C:\? I don't have a C:\ on my computer o_O (don't ask why, I don't know myself ...) ...
So. I can't install that. Because I'm missing a C:\ drive.
More news? I finished reading "Picknick am Wegesrand". It was quite decent, and I know what Christian meant when he said that he really disliked the main character ... The end was a little .. yush ..
Lem's epilogue to the novel was really interesting too. In fact, he made some fascinating thoughts to the background of the whole story, something that I was missing from the actual novel itself. I guess I should get some of Lem's novels too ...
I've started reading one of the books I got from Christian, "Don't stand too close to a naked man" by Tim Allen. Should be quite fun to read, but I'm already starting to think about what to read afterwards ... I guess I should take another look at my wishlist, but I can't do that right now of course, because the internet is broken.
I had a customer from Brighton at the airport yesterday. o:

Note to self: Don't try to defrag the external drive. It doesn't work. (this time it didn't fux0r Windows too bad though ...)
I'm going to take a shower now.
