woot, concert!
Nov. 14th, 2006 02:42 amI saw the Levellers today.
OMG awesome!
It's been a few years since I last listened to any of their music, and that was only a few songs, too.
Anyway, today they played some of my favourite tracks of theirs (they started off with The Game, and also played Liberty Song, The Riverflow, Beautiful Day and 61 Minutes of Pleading). Not quite sure if Sell Out was in there too. As I said, long time since I listened to their stuff.
Most of the other songs are in similar style, so the concert, all in all, was fun happy Irish Punk/Rock stuff.
One song stood out a bit (not in a bad way though, it rocked). That one started off with just a didgeridoo (had to look up the spelling o_O), then the fiddle joined in before the other band members finally completed the song. That was really impressive. I have no idea what the song is called, unfortunately. I hope it'll be on the DVD though, which I neglected to buy before leaving the venue ):
And I just checked amazon. It's available, but doesn't have an FSK / USK rating and can't be sold to minors. Yay, that certainly complicates matters. I'll check local stores instead, once I have some money ...
Anyway. ~20€ for the concert ticket. 30.55€ for bus, trains, and taxi. Expensive, but very much worth it.
Next time I'll probably rent a car though. Public transport today was not really cheaper than a car for a day, and you're much more flexible too ...
I wore my ignant shirt btw. Thought that it was the best suited for the concert, since I pretty much went there without a clue as to what to expect, and stuff.
