Irony at work ...
May. 2nd, 2007 03:31 pmChrischi's got a new computer, some AMD DualCore 2.4Ghz thing with Windows Vista.
right after buying it, he went and grabbed a copy of C&C, Spellforce 1 & 2, Gun, and some other games.
He hasn't been able to play Spellforce 2 on his shiny new PC though. Reading through the support forums, it seems to me that there's some compatibility issues between Vista and StarForce, the copy protection scheme used for Spellforce 2. As I understand it, updating StarForce might help, it also might make your computer not work though.
So, aside from the fact that you need to update a piece ofcrap copy protection software (and Chrischi doesn't have internet access), I'm sure you can all see how ironic it is that anyone who downloaded a pirated copy of the game will most likely end up having less trouble running the game than someone who bought it ...
Not that I'm speaking from experience of course, I just don't remember ever hearing anyone complain about how his pirated game doesn't work ...
