Second attempt ...
Apr. 11th, 2008 04:57 pmCase: Raidmax Sagitta (more likely NZXT Apollo black if I can get my hands on it)
Power supply: LC-Power 550W
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3R
CPU Intel Core 2 Duo 8400 tray
CPU cooler: Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro PWM
RAM: DDR2, PC 800 1024MB Team Memory (3x)
HDD: Seagate ST3500320AS Barracuda 7200.11 500GB (2x)
GFX: Gainward GeForce 8800 GTS 512 MB
DVD RAM: LG GH-20NS10
DVD ROM: Samsung SH-D163
OS: Vista Home Premium
= 1052.42€
Today I was advised against combining 4GB RAM and a 32bit OS because it might result in instabilities (and BSODs) with software that demands a lot of memory.
Getting 3x 1GB RAM is currently cheaper than getting 1x 1GB and 1x 2GB so I think I'll do that. That does make upgrading later on more difficult, but seriously, 1GB is currently at 15€ and if I ever wanted to upgrade to more than 3GB total, I'd have to get a different OS first anyway.
