inanedirkBack from the In Extremo concert. So cool.
For those who don't know them, imagine a mixture of metal and medieval themes. Songs sung in some old variations of german and swedish, gaelic, latin, etc. Lots of bag pipes, shawms, and instruments I don't know the english names of. Or the german ones for that matter.
Lots of pyrotechnics too, very much fun.
And random funny thing - the singer noticed a little kid (5 years maybe) sitting on his father's shoulders. He just told him to go to the merch stand and pick up any item, as a present.
Anyway.
Songs I missed: Ich kenne alles and Palästinalied. They didn't play those.
Favourite songs they did play: Spielmannsfluch, Herr Mannelig, Ai Vis lolop (!), Omnia sol temperat, Villemann og Magnhild (too lazy to verify spelling ...).
And not a single song I disliked!
According to the news, today has been the hottest day so far this year in Germany. Nice idea of the weather scheduling this particular day on the same day that I'm going to an open air concert. Thank you, weather. Towards the end of the concert I became a little headachey, most likely because I hadn't drunk enough. I'm still busy trying to remedy that. I'll probably down a bottle of water or two before going to bed.
Oh, and I need to iron a shirt before going to bed too. And I need to take a shower. Yay. And I need to get up early'ish tomorrow too. Yay me.
