After finally having completed my list of chores for today, I sat down in the evening to watch Paprika.
I really liked the art work, and the story was ok. I feel it could've been better though. Basically it's about a new technology that allows psychatrists to participate in patients' dreams. The device gets stolen and someone uses it to implant dreams into people, who then fail to discern between dreams and reality. It ends up being some sort of massively multiplayer online dream, with lots of people perceiving the same mixture of dreams and reality.
The dream though, IMO, could've been a lot darker, creepier, and more nightmarish. It was mostly just a big carnival.
Oh well, I'm not complaining. The movie was fun, and I'm pretty sure I'll have the main theme stuck in my head for days to come ...
