I fscking can't believe it.
Not only do people do april fool's jokes on me, which I hate (and which I don't do on others because I think it's stupid), now I'm playing jokes on myself apparently ...
So, earlier today my internet connection died. Which ofc sux, so I looked up the service line phone number an the times they're open (you can only reach them during the week, and only until 3pm on Fridays, so I kinda paniced). I'd decided to give them a call if my connection didn't work by now.
So, I'm just back from the airport, and the connection still doesn't work. Modem can't sync apparently. So I grab my phone, and notice that I'm not getting a dial tone. Made me wonder, if the phone doesn't work either, it might not be an ISP problem, but a Telekom issue. Either that, or the splitter is borked (sux too) ... Anyway, at that point I decide to see whether it's the splitter, or the phone line, so I climb below the desk to unhook the splitter stuff, and hook up the phone directly ...
At this point I notice that the splitter cable is lying on the ground, and not connected to the phone jack at all.

Turns out, when I changed my calendar from march to april earlier today, I accidently dropped the calendar, and it must've fallen right onto the cable and ripped it out of the phone jack ...
THANK GORD I didn't actually call my ISP about that!! That would've been so embarassing ...
