Saturday, Live8, CLK, movies, stuff!
Jul. 3rd, 2005 08:58 amChrischi visited yesterday. We watched bits of the live8 concerts, and some DVDs.
As to the concerts, there were maybe 10 songs that I really enjoyed. That's U2, The Who, and Pink Floyd! I probably would've enjoyed A-ha in Berlin too, but we missed that for some reason.
Anyway, The Who of course was fun because they played two songs, and those two songs were the intro / outros of the CSI and CSI: Miami TV shows. heh!
My personal highlight was Pink Floyd though, no surprises there I guess. They played Breathe, Money, Wish you were here, and Comfortably Numb. What a good thing we were watching it on the internet too, quite a few people on the PF forums complained that MTV and VH1 cut to commercials during the second guitar solo on Comfortably Numb ... o_O I'm pretty sure whoever is responsible for that will get lynched.
We also watched some DVDs: Bad Santa, and Mindhunters. Actually, we stopped Bad Santa maybe 30 minutes into the movie because it just didn't seem to be any good. *shurgs* Mindhunters was okay, but what irks me is that some of the things the characters did at several points just didn't seem to make any sense ... And I hate it when I can't figure such things out ...
Anyway, at some point Sonja called from the airport, to ask how enter a certain voucher into the system. After 25 minutes or so it finally dawned on her that the customers in front of her didn't actually want a car, but were there to return theirs to her ... *shurgs*
The pizza delivery guy also called to make sure that we didn't make a mistake during our internet order, but actually wanted a pizza with pretty much everything on it ... That was Chrischi's pizza btw.
And in the evening we paid Sonja a visit at the airport, so that I could get a car from her, to get to work with today. That's a CLK ... Wheee.
And that's it. I have to go to work now ...
