... and stuff ...

Let's see ... I've started working for Steffi on Tuesday, so far so good. We're getting along, I actually enjoy working, and I haven't killed a single customer yet.
I've been to the airport a few times to deliver cars, and talked to Sabine (Hertz) and Steffi (Sixt). No news there, they still don't know whether or not they're actually staying at the airport.
Some of the customers are slightly irritated by the fact that they're greeted in the arrival hall by us, instead of coming up to our counter. *shurgs* This whole solution is less than ideal, it just screams improvised and unprofessional. We also don't really have any proper way to get our cars off the parking lot anymore, since the airport refuses to give us any of those plastic coins required by the machine at the exit gates. All in all, it seems that Europcar really managed to piss off the new owners ...
Today I met one of the policemen, who regularly work at the airport, at the supermarket. So I talked to him for a bit, too ... Looks like Infratil is seriously screwing the airport up ...
Anyway.
Uhm.
What else has happened in Dirkland?
I mentioned that I have a cold, right? Got it around Sunday I think. Anyway, it's finally getting better today, so yay and wheeee.
My package from sonicshop.de has arrived too. It's two sets of ear plugs optimised to be used during concerts. One's for me, the other for Chrischi.
And today it's
schwesterchen's birthday. I'll be taking a bus to Schwarzenbek at around 2.15pm, then go to my parents. Chrischi will take me along to Sonja's and Stefan's place in the evening, where we'll do celebratey things. I'm staying there overnight, then there'll be some more birthday'ey stuff on Sunday (It's been Stefan's and Lara's and Lena's birthday recently as well). I'm still kinda disappointed that me and Chrischi have been kinda unable to find a present for Schwesterchen, but I guess I'll just keep looking until I find something ...
Btw, Steffi (my new boss) and Thomas (her bf) offered me their car - not to buy, but to borrow it pretty much whenever I needed it. They've bought a VW T5 kinda thing a while ago, and don't really use their Golf anymore. Nice of them innit? Might take them up on that at some point ...
Back to the weekend though, We'll do stuff on Sunday, and I think my parents will then take me back to Lübeck, or something, Sunday evening.
I've got a day off on Monday, and I'll be back at work Tuesday. Wheee long weekend.
Only thing that worries me is that I'll be away from any kind of internet connection for a whole day.
Makes me wonder how I'm ever going to go on vacation, with my internet addiction being all ... well, addicting, and stuff. *shurgs*
What do people do when they're not online, I ask myself ...
I do have a few pages left to read on Red Rabbit but after that, I'll be out of books too. Maybe I should borrow's my father's copy of Schätzing's Der Schwarm, or something. Everybody keeps telling me to read that. o:
... and if it wasn't for my cold, I would've gone donate blood today. But as it is, I guess I'll have to wait a week or two. Stupid cold ...
I also should cut my fingernails.
