Uhm, fixed I guess ...

... Had some trouble with my internet connection today. Wasn't sure at frst whether it was due to the cfosspeed update I'd done, or windows updates.
Anyway, it seems I've solved issues now, and that it was indeed cfos, or rather its changes to mss/mtu settings - after those changes took effect, the network card stopped talking to the modem ...

Anyway, I've stopped it from changing those settings, and I'm now successfully using the latest version.
Windows updates were successful too it seems.

Anyway, I'm off to the blood donating place in a bit ...

Vampires, Inc.

I'm back from donating blood.
Took ages today. I arrived at 1.50pm, and they officially start at 2pm. I filled in the forms, then sat down and read for an hour, before I could get into the examining room.
From there I could at least go directly into the bloody room. People were pretty busy there. Lots of the people today were donating for the first time, so those had to get an additional examination, and special attention from the staff. Two girls were looked after when I came in, because they had trouble with circulation. One of them even got several infusions o_O
Yet another person had to be dealt with when I started donating, because he too had a little low blood pressure.
Normally I would've got an extra exam too (I was told that they usually do that every 10 donations), but I was told to expect that the next time I come around, because they were just too busy today.

Anyway, the donation itself took just a few minutes, average time for me. Then afterwards I had breakfast, and got some money ... (:

It always surprises me how much trouble some people have with donating. The staff always reminds people to eat well and drink lots before donating. Me, I hadn't eaten or drunk anything prior to donating today, yet I don't even feel any ill effects afterwards, except for me being a little slower than usual on my bike on the way home.
