quick update ...
Dec. 15th, 2006 03:41 amToday has been a lazy day. I spent most of the time playing Jagged Alliance 2.
Had some trouble there, because I had hired some new mercs before entering Meduna. And not only is their equipment inferior to that of my primary team, I also don't know how to play them. They all carry heavy weapons only (rocket rifles & LAWs, grenade launchers, and mortars, plus some hand grenades and explosives), so whenever they get into direct contact with opponents, they're pretty much fucked (and never mind the rocket rifles, they basically suck). On top of that, I'm using up pretty much all the mortar shells I managed to get during the whole game (7 just for the SAM site), and plenty of LAWs (ergo, lots of burning men - the enemy's men ...). Good thing though, I did a different approach this time to the previous rounds I've played, and ran across a site that has around 15 LAWs lying around. And LAWs are lighter than I thought, and very efficient. Grenades suck though. I might even use my logisitics team to carry those LAWs after my fighting teams (my logistics team consists of cheap worker bees, who run errands and repair items).
I also had some trouble with the first Meduna sector. I retried 3 or 4 times until I figured out the right approach. Apparently it helps surprising the enemy if you make your own entrances into buildings instead of using existing ones ...
Guess I'll continue tomorrow.
In totally other news, thank God I bought some balls before they were all out (scroll all the way down)
