I see stupid people ...
Sep. 6th, 2008 04:06 pmBah, what a bunch of morons.
First, they whine and complain because there's a bug in the beta that they got for free, that prevents them from playing.
And when EA finally fix their server to get it working, they refuse to acknowledge that they did indeed fix it. Instead they seriously believe they themselves solved the issue by fiddling with their network / firewall settings, and without knowing the first thing about networks. And, of course, without realising that the problem can't really have been on their end in the first place ...
"I got it running by opening just about every single port on my firewall."
"I got it running by changing my password."
Guess what, these were things tried and tested before yesterday, and it didn't help.
Hey, come to think of it, I was at work yesterday, and when I got home it suddenly worked. So the solution must be "Get a Job!" ...
*shakes head*
Anyway. I played my first game in the beta yesterday. But I'm way too inexperienced to comment on it at this point. I was totally owned of course. Didn't even quite know how to get the money flowing ...
