And in other news, my Sansa came with some media converter software.
It converts videos (and I guess image and music files) to a format that the player can playback.

That's the theory, anyway. The result was, in fact, a qt movie that was horribly out of sync and not really watchable. Yay for useful software, eh? I'd probably get better results using virtualdub or something ...

Its a not very well known fact that using the transcoding wizard, VLC is capable of converting video's to other codecs and container types.

Why i used it just the other week to rip the audio track from a flash movie i got from Youtube into mp3.

I didn't know it did flash movies too though.
