I was going to wash some clothes just now, but when I started the washer it sounded like it tried turning the drum but failed. You probably know this particular sound an electric motor does when trying to turn something that's stuck.
As it turned out (thehehe), the drum wasn't stuck though, it turned just fine when trying by hand.

I was already through reading the manual for help and had almost resigned to calling tech support in the morning, but then I turned and pushed the drum for a bit, and tried a different program. I chose one that just gets rid of remaining water in the machine, and voilà, the drum turns again.

I put my clothes back in, turned it on again, and ... right, nothing.

I was a little confused by then, but noticed a few drops of water on the water feed.
Ahh right, the stupid thing is broken and the sound is not actually coming from the motor that turns the drum, but from the water pump trying to get at some water.

Well, in the end it wasn't the feed either. When I turned on the faucet to wash my hands, there was no water coming from there either. Cold water is completely out, and there's no pressure on the hot water.

So anyway, good news: washer is still intact.
Bad news: water's out.
